Their strong musicianship and well-crafted songs offer a rich storytelling experience from the serious to the seriously fun!

The Water Runners blend Australian folk with bluegrass, traditional folk, and country, creating rich storytelling that’s heartfelt, fun, and rooted in the landscapes of Kiama on Dharawal Country. Fresh from Tamworth Country Music Festival 2026, they won Country Blues (“Viking”), National Songwriter of the Year (“Last Train from Central”), and Music Excellence for their video “Shelter”. They’ve also been Runners-Up, 2025 People’s Choice Award (Folk Alliance Australia) and winners of Best Band at the National Busking Championships.
